45 minutes away from the coast, you\u00b4ll find Lake Picachos, known as one of the best largemouth bass catch and release places in Mexico, visited by anglers from the whole entire world.<\/p>

Lake Picachos is less than a decade old, but it\u2019s already pumping out trophy bass thanks to a strict management regime, fertile brood stock and an ample population of protein-packed tilapia. During the best times, it\u2019s not unusual for a pair of skilled anglers to catch hundreds of fish per day, and there really are no bad times \u2013 the fishery is just so healthy that it\u2019s the perfect place for novices and experts alike to fish until their thumbs are raw. The real question is how do you want to catch them? There may be no better topwater lake on earth, but if you\u2019d like to work on your flipping, or cranking, or your deepwater game, any of those can put you on the best bite of your life. The fly fishing is also exceptional, and some of our best \u201cnumbers\u201d days have come on the long rod.<\/p>

Picachos is on the same level of other famous bass lakes as Guerrero, Comedero and El Salto and is known for producing dozens of bass per day.<\/p>
